Hypnosis 101 – The Basics Chapter 8

In my last blog post I talked about NLP. The field of NLP has hundreds of very powerful processes to facilitate very rapid change for you. This is the last post in the Basic Hypnosis 101 series, and today I’m going to discuss Video Hypnosis. Video hypnosis is the most effective form of hypnosis!

Have you ever watched a child sit mesmerized in front of a television, completely entranced by the images on the screen? If you have ever tried to get the attention of a child in this state of mind you probably found they were oblivious to everything going on around them. The video image was so powerful, so compelling, that the child was literally HYPNOTIZED by it.

Video has an amazing ability to alter and compel behavior. TV advertisers have known this for years and have capitalized on it! Advertisers spend billions of dollars to send messages to you, convincing you to part with your hard-earned money to buy their “new and improved” shampoo or the new year model SUV.

If you are familiar with hypnosis, then you know that it’s the alpha level of consciousness. You pass through this daydream like state as you fall asleep at night. And you pass through it again as you awaken in the morning. Research has proven that if you watch much television, you are in this alpha state for two-thirds of your viewing time.

Neuro-VISION® is a form of Video Hypnosis. The techniques used in Neuro-VISION are based on the Neuro-Linguistic Programming technology. NLP works based on the utilization of a person’s existing thought processes instead of post-hypnotic suggestion.

Over 70% of the population learns much more quickly and easily by seeing, rather then by hearing. Think about it. If you feel an urge to eat or smoke when watching television, it’s because your mind recorded the video image of either food in your hand, or a cigarette in your hand, and then associated that image,
with the image of the TV. You never spoke to yourself and told yourself in words to associate them together, did you?

And that’s why the Video Hypnosis technology is so effective. Neuro-VISION is so effective that it was awarded a US Patent.

Neuro-VISION is not hypnotic in the traditional sense, relying on the spoken word; rather, it is a form of video hypnosis. And, if you’ve ever cried when watching a sad movie, then you know how effective video hypnosis can be at reaching the unconscious mind.

Neuro-VISION is a computerized video, so rather then listening to a hypnotist’s words, the mind learns to automatically change feelings and visual associations at the unconscious level using visual movies.

There are two different versions of Neuro-VISION available. One is utilized to eliminate stress and oral cravings and urges for food to facilitate appetite suppression and weight loss. The other is utilized to eliminate stress and oral cravings and urges for cigarettes so that a person can quit smoking without having to use willpower or suffer through withdrawal.

The Neuro-VISION video trains the unconscious through a high-tech simulation process called computerized digital optics. This frees a person of their compulsions, urges, and tensions and allows a smoker to quit effortlessly, and a dieter to lose their appetite. Results start with the very first viewing!

Do you have something about yourself that you would like to change? By now you know quite a bit about hypnosis, and you know that it is nothing to fear. Hypnosis is a state of mind where you feel relaxed, and you are able to program yourself to make changes without having to use willpower.

  • Yes, Alan,

And that hypnotic/stupefication of endless TV watching is one of the reasons our students do so poorly in school, or even drop-out.

Thank goodness there is a way to make this work for good, rather than bad!

  • I think the extent to which the “experts” understand these processes is overstated. Surely if it was as simple as creating an enticing video this process would be used for all kinds of things both good and bad – in particular, in schools and for training of various kinds.

The fact that it is not used in those ways, or is ineffective (given the generally poor results of our education systems) we would have to conclude that either our educators and trainers are not using these techniques, or if they are using them or have tried, the techniques themselves are not as effective as is suggested.

  • Rick,

If I were sitting in your seat seeing things from your level of experience, I would probably feel the same way.

However, do you really UNDERSTAND the technology that is activated when you turn on the TV and watch a movie? Or do you UNDERSTAND the cell phone technology that you use daily?

Of course you don’t. But even though you don’t UNDERSTAND either of those technologies, you know WHAT to do to utilize them for your benefit.

Similarly, the technicalities of what goes on inside the human mind when we are thinking is all theory.

However, even though we might only be able to theorize what is going on within the mind, we know WHAT to do to Motivate people into behaviors. That is simple basic psychology – NOT theory!

And we know HOW to utilize hypnotic language patterns and video image patterns to augment the effect of that basic psychology to Motivate people into behaviors.

The fact is that we know WHAT to do, using ANY form of communication that is accepted by the five senses, to Motivate people into behaviors, and as long as they don’t find those behaviors offensive, they will generally comply.

Why would anyone assume that a technology that is being used by the private sector to amass billions of dollars, is invalid just because a government entity, namely the public school system, isn’t using it to motivate children to learn?
