Lose Weight Fast! Try the Mediterranean Diet and NLP

By

If you want the body of a Greek god or goddess, you do not have to hurl thunderbolts or battle one-eyed monsters – simply eating like the ancient idols could help you get a physique that people will worship.

The Mediterranean way of eating, which is a diet meal plan that includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, olive oil, whole grains and red wine, can help you achieve the best figure. The Mediterranean weight loss diet has also been linked to a healthier heart and a longer life span. Red meat, fatty dairy products and foods with refined sugar are rarely consumed, if ever.

Centuries after the physically powerful gods shook things up, the Mediterranean style of eating still makes great sense as a weight loss meal plan because you get full on large amounts of high-fiber, low fat foods that leave you feeling sated for much longer. The fruits and vegetables eaten as part of the Mediterranean way of eating are naturally low in calories, and are rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids, nutrients your body requires to create new and healthy cells.

The Mediterranean way of eating allows a higher fat intake than most weight loss diets, but it’s healthy fat that comes from nuts and olive oil, which are rich in beneficial monounsaturated fats, and low in unhealthy saturated fats, like those found in cheese, ice-cream or beef.

Just keep in mind that for higher calorie items, like the whole grains, olive oil and red wine, you still must focus on overall calorie intake and serving sizes. The key to any successful weight loss plan is consuming fewer calories while still feeling full.

When you feel full, it makes it a little easier to overcome cravings that many people who are trying to follow a weight loss diet endure. What good is a diet if you cannot adhere to it because your appetite is out of control? Before starting any weight loss meal plan, you’ll need to find a safe, effective way to eliminate your urges, cravings and appetite to overeat. Weight loss hypnotherapy is a wonderful way to help you curb your cravings.

The typical person experiences cravings and an urge to eat for two central reasons:

A. When you pair eating with any other behavior, the other behavior will trigger cravings and a compulsion to eat.

B. When you feel anxious, you feel compelled to put something into your mouth for pleasure and relaxation.

Let’s examine Part “A” first. Over 70% of the population learns much more quickly and easily by seeing, rather then by hearing. Think about it: If you have an urge to eat while watching TV, it’s because your mind recorded the video image of food in your hand, and then associated that image with the image of the television. From that point, every time you watch television, your unconscious mind flashes the image of the food in your hand, and you get an urge.

You have actually “programmed” your unconscious mind to make you feel cravings and urges as a “conditioned response” to watching television. The same thing happens when you eat in your car or while on the phone, etc.

Lose weight hypnotherapy will erase the conditioned responses simply by reprogramming your unconscious mind to have it trigger unconscious images of you watching the television without eating, and that will eliminate the urge to eat. It will also give you an urge to reject food in that scenario!

But what about Part “B”? Our sensations of stress are created by our thoughts. If you think negative thoughts, you feel tense and upset. If you think happy thoughts, you feel calm and relaxed.

If you have an upsetting thought while you are sitting at your computer, your mind can link that thought with the computer. Thereafter, when you sit at your computer, you have a conditioned response; your mind will flash to that negative thought and you will feel tension. Weight loss self-hypnosis techniques can help you overcome these patterns almost immediately.

The techniques used in the most successful hypnotherapy programs are based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). This technology works based on the utilization of a person’s existing thought processes instead of post-hypnotic suggestion.

Video weight loss hypnosis can program your subconscious mind to use stressful thoughts as a trigger for soothing thoughts. So if you start to think of something that is distressing, your unconscious mind will automatically change to a relaxing thought in a millisecond. You become relaxed, so there are no sensations of tension to produce your cravings. And without an appetite to overeat, it’s much easier to lose weight and keep it off forever.

Combining a sensible weight loss meal plan, like the Mediterranean style, along with self hypnosis means you can finally beat your cravings to get the body of a Greek god or goddess.

Facial Tics Banished Using Hypnosis Or NLP

By

As many as one-fourth of all children experience the embarrassing annoyance of facial tics. This problem can most accurately be explained as a repetitive, continual spasm that affects the muscles of both the eyes and the face. The true cause is often unknown, although research has demonstrated a significant connection between stressors and an increase in severity of symptoms.

An alternate explanation for the manifestation of tics is a deficit in essential vitamins or minerals, like magnesium. Some types of facial tics are symptomatic of nervous system disorders, such as Tourette syndrome, a health condition arising from a dysfunction of the nervous system. Tourette syndrome is believed to have a hereditary component as well.

A few examples of a facial tic are rapid eye movements or eye blinking, squinting, mouth or nose wrinkling, twitching, grunting, mouth twitches, facial grimacing, facial twitches, and throat clearing. A tic often originates in the early developmental years, and can last for just a few weeks or for several years. At times, the condition persists into adulthood.

Facial tics can perpetuate and exacerbate anxious disorders in a child whose stress levels are already high because of the disorder itself. Young people can be extremely unkind, making fun of the child’s problem. Further, teachers who do not understand and fail to assist fellow classmates to empathize and assist the child in conquering his condition can create a devastatingly negative effect on a child’s self image.

The problem, however, is not confined to the experience of the afflicted child. Adults who must cope with a facial tic encounter significant challenges in managing this problem. These persons often face overwhelming social difficulties. In some instances, a person can develop the ability to recognize the onset and master the spasm that results in the facial tic. Even this, however, can become emotionally and physiologically draining. Such individual often wrestle with self image problems as well.

Grownups who obtain relief from the humiliating effects of facial grimaces and other tics are afforded with an opportunity for social rebirth. Their perception of themselves is altered, and they no longer are afraid to experience the fullness of life. Young people who successfully this condition no longer are burdened by the overwhelming emotional pain that hinders their social lives, and live with joy instead of psychic pain.

On occasion, medications, such as mildly sedating drugs, are prescribed to this problem. Although the medications may lessen the frequency or severity of these symptoms, the drugs themselves can often cause adverse effects. Therefore, individuals frequently turn alternative treatments to assist them in treating their disorder.

Two treatment approaches that have provided promising potential in helping clients to overcome facial tics are hypnotherapy and NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). These therapies take advantages of the strength of the individual’s unconscious mind to help them re-channel the spasm. Since these treatments identify and treat the source of the difficulty by intervening in the unconscious where the problem originates, they are much more useful than traditional therapy methods that merely attempt to control eye blinking, mouth twitches, squinting, facial grimacing, facial twitches, grunting, or other types of impulsive behavior.

Hypnotherapy helps the person being treated to reach a restful dreamlike state and receive suggestions that assist them to expel anxiety. Since tics are caused by suppressed stress within a person’s body, release of the tension enables them to successfully manage this behavior. After several sessions, the client ought to be capable of demonstrate the ability to cope with tension successfully.

Alternatively, therapists who use NLP assist the client to channel his or her mind to use thoughts that stress them as triggers for relaxing thoughts. Furthermore, the client learns to use a non-related body part, like a toe, to release the emotional energy that would otherwise be expressed by the facial tic. This also allows individuals to overcome tension without resorting to the humiliating behavior.

Another positive effect of these two therapies is that the person being treated does not experience adverse effects from medication type therapies. In fact, both hypnotherapy and NLP are frequently considered to be the ideal treatment for individuals who cope with tics, such as nose wrinkling, or throat clearing, because these interventions do not have unwanted side effects. This avoids considerable pain and stress for the sufferer.

Summary: Facial tics can be socially destructive and may yield serious consequences. Male children are more likely to struggle with this difficulty, which can persist into adult life; however female children may also experience difficulties with this. While several treatment approaches exist, hypnosis and NLP seem to be the most prudent methods, because they do not cause negative side effects and are very efficacious.
