Everyone thinks that weight loss, dieting, and exercise are purely physical things… well they are of course, you need the right nutrition, you need to consume less calories in a day than you burn, and you need a regular healthy exercise routine.
However, this is not all there is to it. The one vital aspect of losing weight that people leave out is the importance of mindset; of having a positive approach, rock solid levels of mental strength, firm commitment, and a proactive outlook towards changing your eating and exercise habits.
How often have you started a diet only to soon go back to your old unhealthy eating habits? Perhaps it was an expensive restaurant meal that made you cheat, or perhaps you just had a “hard day”, whatever it was, you tried to diet for a few days or a couple of weeks, but it didn’t last.
Or, perhaps you have started a new exercise routine, or made a commitment to yourself to go to the gym 3x a week.. but again, after the initial buzz wears off you find yourself skipping a session, or ending one early, and soon you are back to square one.
Do Things Differently Next Time!
Imagine how different things could be if you had a different mindset. If you were mentally strong and resistant to temptations, if you could just naturally stick to your diet, and had massively increased motivation to exercise so you could keep going to the gym despite distractions, boredom, and other temptations.
It is just not enough to take up a new healthy eating plan or exercise routine; you need the right positive mindset to make sure you succeed.
